Hello CCMS Families,

The 2019-20 school year is almost upon us.  We are gearing up for our students to grace the halls in just a few weeks.  In preparation, please save the following upcoming dates:


Schedules and Team Placement - The portal to Skyward will open on Friday, August 23rd.  Students and parents can access team placement and draft schedules at that time.  Paper copies of student schedules will be distributed on the first day of school.  Please note your team will not change but classes may move around so we ask that you do not print the draft schedule.  

The form to request a schedule change will be available in the guidance office.  The deadline to request a change is September 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm. All requests will be reviewed by guidance and administration; changes to schedules will be considered when possible.  Not all requests can be honored due to schedule and staffing constraints. Our school counselor, Ms. Fontaine will be available August 20, 22(1/2 day), 23(1/2 day), 26, 27(1/2 day) and 30. 


Laptop Distribution -  Any incoming 7th grade students that were unable to attend the previous laptop distribution night may  pick up their computer the night of the 7th grade Back to School Night (August 27.) All students in grade 8 will receive their laptop on the first day of school.


Grade 7 Back to School Night - Tuesday, August 27th.  This is a fun night of team building activities for our incoming 7th grade students to meet teachers and teammates.  Note that this event is for students only. Sneakers and comfortable clothing should be worn.  Drop off begins at 5:15pm and pick up is at 6:50pm. 


First Day of School - The first day of school for all students is Tuesday, September 3rd. The hours of school are 7:26 - 1:56.  Students can enter the building at 7:10. Homeroom begins at 7:26. Grade 7 students report to the cafeteria and grade 8 students report to the gym.  

Also, families should be aware that our primary method of communication is through email. If you do not have an updated email address on record with our school department, please contact the school. We also post events and information on our website , through Twitter, and on our PTO Facebook page
